A singer/songwriter, author, researcher, and narrator, Erica Rabner is a storyteller. Erica draws on her background in child development to create playful, sincere, and meaningful songs and stories for children and families.
Erica has worked in many sides of children’s media as a TV tester, formative evaluator, education consultant, content creator, voice over artist, and musician. Her first original kids’ album, “PB & JAMS,” was recognized as a 2017 Parents’ Choice Recommended Award Winner. Erica’s voice has ease, warmth, depth, and personality; and when she’s not reading stories aloud, she’s writing them.
Erica’s research informs her writing. Testing shows like Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood with preschoolers provides the opportunity to regularly interact with kids and learn about who they are, what they like, and what makes them laugh. Other research credits include Universal Kids, Nickelodeon, Amazon, Netflix, Google, WGBH, Mattel, Kidville, MIT Media Lab, and Boston’s Museum of Science.
Erica received a master’s in Technology, Innovation, and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s in psychology from Brandeis University where she also studied Theater Arts.
