Il Sung Na is a beloved children’s book author-illustrator and a ceramicist. He creates quirky, sophisticated art for home decor, paper goods and more, with a focus on creating unique, humorous characters. Il Sung’s work is inspired by the natural world, antiques, and animals. He opened Clay and Wish, his hand-made ceramics shop, in 2013. With each new series of limited edition ceramic sculptures, figurines, and dishes he releases, Clay and Wish sells out almost instantly. When not creating children’s books, ceramics, or other artwork, Il Sung hits the flea markets to expand his collection of old and interesting items, which he then takes home to show off to his wife and chihuahua.
