Josh Crute writes bright, energetic stories bursting with colorful personalities, humorous dialogue, and deep feelings. He strives to infuse young readers with a love of words and to make them laugh (or at least to emit that small breath through the nose often overstated in text messages as LOL). He has written several picture books including the Junior Library Guild selection Jonas Hanway’s Scurrilous, Scandalous, Shockingly Sensational Umbrella. He has also written for Disney, worked as a children’s bookseller, and directed a short film, Knights of the Playground, that was nominated for the Children’s Entertainment Category of the College Television Awards.
