Kim Fleming
Growing up, my backyard was a forest. I would go exploring for hours and come back with muddy shoes and treasures like a super smooth stone or a turquoise leaf. I always loved to draw every little thing — ants in the peonies, my bicycle, twigs and leaves, and especially our cat. I guess that explains why I still love forests, and drawing every little thing. And cats.
I grew up in Montreal, Canada, studied art near Seattle, USA, lived a chapter of my life in Melbourne, Australia, and now call Providence, RI home. My illustrations can be found in many different products from picture books, board books and games to greeting cards, puzzles and magazines, and I maintain that I have the best job in the world.
