The Jane Addams Peace Association has announced the finalists for the Jane Addams Children’s Book Award 2024. Included on the list is:

• Justice Ketanji (Orchard) by Denise Lewis Patrick, illustrated by Kim Holt
• My Red, White, and Blue (Philomel) by Alana Tyson, illustrated by London Ladd
• How Do You Spell Unfair (Candlewick), by Carole Boston Weatherford, illustrated by Frank Morrison
