Romina Rollhauser was born and raised in Argentina, in Southern Patagonia, “where the wind is born” as she always says. She is mostly inspired by nature and the beauty behind the everyday little things. She is passionate about capturing emotions and transmitting them. As a child she could spend hours drawing, specially mountains, trees and characters inspired by stationery she used to collect. Romina rediscovered her passion for illustration, playing with pencils and watercolors with her daughters and losing herself in the magic of picture books. She combines pencils, pastels, gouache and acrylic with digital media to create playful illustrations. In 2021 she was one of the finalists of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Exhibition 2022. Her greatest wish is that kids identify with her characters and that, together with their parents, they “travel” through her illustrations. Love took her to The Netherlands in 2010 where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
