The King of Kindergarten (Penguin Random House), by Derrick Barnes, illustrated by Vanessa Brantley Newton and My School Stinks! (Philomel) by Becky Scharnhorst, illustrated by Julia Patton have been named to the Today Show’s List of 21 Back-to-School books for kids to calm first day jitters.
