Elizabeth Zunon was born in Albany, NY and grew up in the Ivory Coast,
West Africa, where her childhood was filled with outings to the
marketplace, Sunday trips to the beach, and evenings spent reading,
drawing, and painting.

After returning to the States, she attended the Rhode Island School of
Design where her love of children’s books and painting was greatly
awakened through the eyes of some remarkable professors. Elizabeth
graduated with a B.F.A. in Illustration in 2006, and now lives in Albany, where she explores a multicultural world through painting, beading, sewing, and collage.

Elizabeth is currently working on her first two picture books, both of which will be published in 2011.
